Day 11: Saturday, June 30th, 2012
Walk (on treadmill): 52 minutes; 3.2 miles @ 1.5 incline
Yoga (at home): 22 minutes
Comments: I had to shower, so first, I got really sweaty! I did walk/run intervals + it was fabulous! My Yoga practice was good as well, though I was really sweaty + just wanted to shower, so it didn’t last very long :)

Day 12: Sunday, July 1st, 2012
Walk (on treadmill): xx minutes; xxx miles @ xx incline
Yoga (at home): xx minutes
Comments: Nope, it just didn’t happen today. Things are starting to get crazy busy as my husband + I get ready to move in 2 weeks … oh, and he just got a motorcycle, so on top of changing our addresses, packing, + moving, I also have to help him get it registered + get insurance … etc. I’ll be happy on Monday, July 16th when we are all done moving!

On another note, my sunburn is nearly done peeling! My shins + lower back are still slightly flaky, but otherwise, I’m done!
You might remember that this challenge was meant to last until I stopped peeling. I’m very surprised that, just 2 weeks later, my body has already fully recovered - I expected it to take twice that long!
Also, I am amazed that I was able to keep up with my daily challenge for nearly 2 weeks. With the peeling coming to an end, it’s time for this challenge to go to the next level!
I will continue to challenge myself to be active every day, but the definition of that will be changing a bit.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday will be stronger, sweatier workouts that include vigorous cycling or running/sprints, followed by Yoga.
Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday will be slower, steadier cardio workouts - mostly likely long walks, followed by Yoga.
It feels fabulous to make/take the time to be active every day + I don’t want that to end! I’ll continue to use the “walking and yoga challenge” tag on these posts because, at the very least, I will walk + do Yoga each day.
Note: this challenge will become its toughest Thursday, July 12th - Sunday, July 15th as my husband + I will be in the full swing of moving to our new apartment across town. Spending my days packing, unloading, unpacking, + cleaning could easily be considered workouts. For these days, my goal is to simply do Yoga, as I’m sure I’ll get sweaty enough throughout the day :)

Phase 2, Day 1: Monday, July 2nd, 2012
Walk Bike (on Stationary Bike): 35 minutes; 8.3 miles @ level 5-7
Yoga (at home): 34 minutes
Comments: I was all fired up to do a vigorous series of walk/run cycles, but both of the treadmills in my apartment’s gym weren’t working :( I contemplated running outside, but wasn’t in the mood for that … enter the stationary bike. I’ve loved cycling all my life + it was nice to mix things up. Oh, and yes, I still got very sweaty :) My Yoga practice was also delightful + it felt nice to practice a little longer than I have been.
